In 2022, McCarley founded TMRW Sports with Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. A leader in building modern approaches in sports, media, and entertainment; McCarley serves as CEO and leads the company’s strategic approach to exploring new ventures that will influence the evolution of sports experiences.
TMRW Sports’ first project is TGL presented by SoFi, the primetime golf league featuring six teams of PGA TOUR stars. The inaugural season launched in January 2025 and wrapped with its Finals Series in March 2025, crowning the Atlanta Drive GC and owner Arthur Blank as TGL’s first champions.
As an NBC Sports executive for more than 20 years, McCarley helped shape many of the biggest events in sports, including the NFL’s Sunday Night Football, the Olympics, and horse racing’s Triple Crown. McCarley served as NBC Sports' president, golf and global strategy, from 2011-2021, and led NBC's golf portfolio, including Golf Channel, GolfNow and GolfPass. Under McCarley’s leadership, Golf Channel was the fastest-growing network on American television.
McCarley is a three-time Emmy Award-winner and an inductee into the Sports Business Journal's 40 Under 40 Hall of Fame. Additionally, McCarley serves as an advisor to the Comcast SportsTech Accelerator and is on the board of directors of the Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation and National Golf Foundation.
Prior to NBC Sports, McCarley worked with USA Triathlon in association with the U.S. Olympic Committee, Dallas Mavericks, and University of Arizona. A native of Memphis, Tenn., and graduate of the University of Arizona, McCarley resides in the Orlando area with his wife and four children.
